Stanford, Calif. - The fourth-ranked Stanford women's volleyball team won its sixth consecutive home match tonight with a 3-0 sweep of Oregon. Game scores were 30-23, 30-22, 3-20.
The Cardinal improved their record to 11-1, 4-0 in the Pac-10 while the Ducks fall to 8-6 on the year, 0-5 in league action.
Stanford hit a season-high .375 for the match while holding Oregon to a .176 hitting percentage.
The Cardinal were led by outside hitter Logan Tom's match-high 14 kills and 12 digs. Junior Ashley Ivy added 10 kills while hitting at a .563 clip (10-1-16). Sophomore Sara McGee chipped in eight kills (8-2-12) and a match-high five blocks. McGee also tallied a career-high three service aces on the night.The Ducks were led by Stephanie Martin and Lindsay Closs who notched 11 kills each. Lindsay Murphy had a team-high eight digs for Oregon while Sydney Chute added 29 assists and four blocks.
The Cardinal take on the Oregon State Beavers tomorrow night, Friday, October 5 at 7 p.m. in Maples Pavilion.
