Stanford, Ca - Freshman Josh Childress and All-American Casey Jacobsen combined for 43 points to lead the nationally-ranked Stanford basketball team to a 114-65 victory over the EA Sports All-Stars in an exhibition game Monday night at Maples Pavilion.

Childress, a 6-foot-8, 190-pound forward, hit 10-of-13 shots, including two three-pointers to score a game-high 22 points. Childress collected a team-high six rebounds, along with one assist, one block and one steal in 22 minutes of play. Jacobsen, a junior, added 21 points, including 10-of-10 from the free throw line. Jacobsen added seven assists and three rebounds in 27 minutes of play.

Three other Cardinal players scored in double figures. Julius Barnes came off the bench to score 13 points (5-for-8 from the field) along with four assists and a steal in 22 minutes. Justin Davis and Joe Kirchofer each added ten points and four rebounds.

Stanford hit .565 from the floor, while holding the EA Sports All-Stars to .318.

The Cardinal led from start to finish, gradually increasing its lead throughout the game. The Cardinal held its biggest lead, 55 points (112-57) with 2:30 to play.

Stanford now opens the regular season Saturday (Nov. 17) at New Mexico. The game will be televised live on KRON, Channel 4, with Greg Papa and Tom Tolbert calling the play-by-play.
