Tempe, Arizona - The third-ranked Stanford women's volleyball team won their 10th consecutive match as the Cardinal swept Arizona State 3-0 tonight at the Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe, Arizona. Game scores were 30-28, 30-23, 35-33.

Stanford improves to 24-2, 15-1 in the Pac-10 while the Sun Devils drop to 8-15, 3-12 in league play.

The Cardinal took the early 7-4 lead in game one but ASU fought back, taking the 10-8 lead on a Stanford miscue. A kill by Sara McGee tied the game at 10-all, however the Sun Devils quickly built a 16-12 advantage, forcing a Stanford timeout. Arizona State continued to roll, gaining a six point lead at 25-19. Stanford's Logan Tom took control of the game, sparking a seven point run to put the Cardinal up 26-25. With ASU leading 28-27, Tom's consecutive kills put Stanford at game point at 29-28. A Sun Devil ball handling error gave the Cardinal the 30-28 win. Tom had 11 kills in game one to lead Stanford.

Although ASU took the early 5-4 lead in game two, Stanford rallied to go up 11-7. With the Cardinal leading 22-17, Arizona State put together a five point run to close the gap to one point. Behind the tough serving of Tara Conrad, Stanford answered with a seven point run to reach game point on an Ogonna Nnamani kill. Another Nnamani kill gave the Cardinal the 30-23 win.

Game three was a back and forth battle between the two teams with 19 ties throughout the game. With the game tied at 28-all, a Sun Devil service error gave the Cardinal match point. But Stanford couldn't close out the match, squandering three match point opportunities. ASU reached game point on a service ace at 32-31. A Logan Tom kill would tie the match back up. A block by Ogonna Nnamani and Jennifer Harvey followed by a kill by Nnamani gave Stanford the game and match at 35-33.

Stanford was led by junior outside hitter Logan Tom's match-high 25 kills and team-high 11 digs. Freshman Ogonna Nnamani added 14 kills while Tara Conrad had 11 kills and a match-high five blocks. Setter Robyn Lewis tallied 41 assists, seven digs and three blocks for the Cardinal.

Stanford is back in action tomorrow night in Tucson, Arizona, facing No. 4 Arizona at the McKale Center at 7 p.m.
