NEW YORK (AP) - Stanford coach Tara VanDerveer was only partially pleased with a two-game sweep of an East Coast road trip.

Sebnem Kimyacioglu scored 14 points in a reserve role, as No. 5 Stanford routed Fordham 81-55 and extended its winning streak to six games Saturday.

T'Nae Thiel and Lindsey Yamasaki each had 11 points for Stanford (14-1), which led 46-31 at halftime.

This Cardinal performance was better than Wednesday night when Stanford edged Rutgers 50-46.

"I was very disappointed in the game at Rutgers. We did not play to our potential," VanDerveer said. "I never think about the opponent, I only want to play to our potential. Today we did that."

The Cardinal improved to 8-0 on the road.

"It's always important, and it's one of the big reasons we've been successful in the Pac-10," said VanDerveer, who has won nine conference titles in 16 seasons at Stanford.

Patty Williams had 14 points for the Rams (3-9), who have lost 5 of 6. Lara Hanson had 13 points, and Mobolaji Akiode added 12.

Nicole Powell, who had game-highs of nine rebounds and six assists to go with eight points, hit a 3-pointer to put the Cardinal ahead for good 9-6 at 17:27.

"She is special," VanDerveer said of the sophomore. "She rebounds, pushes the ball well in transition, and is a special playmaker. Very unselfish."

The Rams, behind Williams' jumper, got within 16-15 at 12:59.

Stanford, which never trailed, then outscored Fordham 23-10 for a 39-25 advantage at 3:14. Yamasaki led the run with nine points, including two 3-pointers. Kimyacioglu also made two 3-pointers during the spurt.

Two consecutive layups by Williams cut it to 39-30 at 2:07, but Stanford, behind Powell's 3-pointer, went on a 7-1 run the rest of the half.

In the opening 20 minutes, Stanford shot 17-of-34 - 6-for-11 from 3-point range - and dominated the boards 23-11. The Cardinal held a 48-26 rebounding edge for the game.

Thiel's two jumpers topped a 17-5 run that marked the opening of the second half and turned the game into a 63-36 rout at 10:34.
