Berkeley, Calif. - Men's gymnastics (1-2) fell to No. 10 California (4-0) in Haas Pavilion tonight in Berkeley. Senior Dave Durante (Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) took second in the All-Around behind National Team member Cody Moore. Durante earned a 52.900 in the All-Around, a season-high, while taking first on the pommel horse with an 8.950.
Sophomore Dan Gill (Fairfax, VA/James Robinson) tallied a 50.350 to take fourth in the All-Around. Gill notched an 8.600 for a third-place tie on the pommel horse and an 8.600 on parallel bars for third.
Junior Marshall Erwin (Cincinnati, OH/Wyoming) continues to post impressive scores on rings with a 9.650 to take first with the highest mark of the competition. Durante took second on rings with a 9.050.
Senior Rico Andrade (Plymouth, MN/Wayzata) tied for first on vault along with Moore, recording a 9.050, edging Durante into third place with a 9.000. Durante also claimed second on the floor exercise with an 8.750.
Stanford returns to action on Thurs., Feb. 22 at the UCLA Invitational at 7 p.m.
