Women's Golf Takes Ninth At Wildcat Invitational

Tucson, Ariz. - The Stanford women's golf team shot second and third round totals of 303 and 299 to finish ninth at the Wildcat Invitational in Tucson, Arizona. The Cardinal three-day total was 907. Duke University won the tournament with a 876 while Auburn and Arizona tied for second (883). Rounding out the top five were Oklahoma State (888), Texs (893) and Tennessee (893).

Arizona golfer Lorena Ochoa took top individual honors firing a nine-under par 207 for the invitational.

Junior Kim Rowton (San Antonio, Tx.) led the Cardinal with a tie for 25th after shooting a three-day total of 225. Sophomore Kim Kouwabunpat (Upland, Calif.) tied for 42nd overall with a 230 while teammates Wendra Liang (San Francisco, Calif.) and Marcia Wallis (Los Gatos, Calif.) tied for 45th at 231. Sophomore Angela Rho (Fullerton, Calif.) tied for 48th with a 232 on the afternoon.
