Corvallis, Ore. - No. 8 Stanford women's gymnastics (8-3 overall, 5-1 Pac-10) downed the No. 16 Beavers (5-5 overall, 2-3 Pac-10), 196.700-196.000. The Cardinal outscored Oregon State on three events to take the victory.
Sophomores Lise L?veill? and Lindsay Wing, ranked 8th and 13th in the country respectively on beam, took first and second on the event. L?veill? notched a 9.900 while Wing put up a 9.875. L?veill? also captured third place on floor with a 9.900. Wing tied with senior Becky Meldrum for second on bars, both posting a 9.900.
Senior Katy Herbert took second place on vault with a season-high mark of 9.850 and four Cardinal gymnasts, freshman Mandy Delgado, sophomores Shelly Goldberg and Kendall Beck and junior Alissa Cooper, tied for third place with a 9.800.
The Cardinal will be back in action on Friday, March 8 when Seattle-Pacific visits The Farm for a 7:30 p.m. dual.
