RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. - The Stanford Women's Crew was victorious in all three events against Sacramento State on Saturday.
The varsity eight opened up a lead in the first 15 strokes and never looked back as they finished 21 seconds ahead of the Hornets. The second varsity got off to a slow start and then recovered to win by nearly 20 seconds. The third varsity for the Cardinal battled with the Sacramento State second varsity for the first 1000 meters of the race and then broke away to win by four seconds. The Stanford novice had a great start and opened up an early lead and crossed the line 12 seconds ahead of their opponent.
The Stanford Women's Crew travels to the San Diego Crew Classic next weekend where they will test their speed against many of the top crews from across the country. For complete details and times for the races please go to www.crewclassic.org.
