Stanford, Calif. - No. 11 Stanford men's gymnastics (8-9) blew past No. 10 Temple and No. 20 Arizona State tonight in its first home meet of the season. The Cardinal put up its best point total of the year with a 213.400 and notched new season-highs on the horizontal bar (36.150) and rings (36.450). The Owls set a 205.900 mark while the Sun Devils posted a 186.650. Stanford took top spots in each event and swept the top three places on the horizontal bar and the vault.

Sophomore Dan Gill posted two new career-high marks, a 9.150 on the parallel bars to take first place and a 9.300 on the horizontal bar to earn second place. He also took first on vault with a 9.400 and tied for third on floor with an 8.750.

Senior Dave Durante captured first in the All-Around with a 52.900 and took second on rings with a career-best 9.400 and second on the parallel bars with a season-high 8.900. He also snagged third on the horizontal bar (8.950) and vault (9.050).

Junior Marshall Erwin continues to dominate on rings with a 9.950. Ranked No. 1 in the nation, he claimed first place tonight for the sixth time this year. This is the second time this year he has chalked up a 9.950 on rings, matching his career-best set two seasons ago.

Senior Rico Andrade took first in the horizontal bar with a season-high 9.350.

The Cardinal will host its final home meet of the season against No. 1 Oklahoma on Saturday, March 9 at 7 p.m. in Burnham Pavilion. The meet will be the last home contest for head coach Sadao Hamada who will be retiring at the end of the season after 30 years in The Farm.
