SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Stanford Lightweight Women, a boat comprised entirely of collegiate novices, made the grand finals at the 2002 San Diego Crew Classic.
In the preliminary heats on Saturday, Stanford qualified with the fourth fastest Lightweight time of the day, finishing ahead of Villanova, Colorado, UCSD, Cal and Queens college from Canada.
On Sunday, Stanford Finished in fifth place, behind defending National champions Princeton and the eventual winner Wisconsin.
