Redwood Shores, Calif. - Building from the valuable lessons learned this past weekend at the San Diego Crew Classic, the Cardinal women are ready to nip into the Bear's early season lead. The Varsity and JV Women's Eights are looking to narrow or eliminate the margin separating Cal's finish times and their own. Meanwhile the Novice Women are looking to avenge their loss due to Cal's lane interference in last weekend's heat. Wrapping up the Cardinal assault, the Varsity Women's Four will make its first appearance for the 2002 season. With both the Men and the Lightweights also racing Cal, this weekend looks to be yet another great dual between the two rival Bay Area universities.
The first race begins at 9:00 with the Varsity Women's Eight. Races will start every 10 minutes thereafter and continue until 10:40.
Directions to Redwood Shores: from 101 take the Ralston / Marine Parkway Exit. Follow the signs to Ralston Ave. Turn right at the second light onto Twin Dolphin Drive. At the next light turn left onto Lagoon Drive. The boats and trailers will be in the office parking lot in front of you. See you there!
