Stanford-Oregon State Change Times For Two Games This Weekend

April 22, 2002

Stanford, Calif. - The times for two games have been changed in the upcoming Stanford-Oregon State baseball series this Friday-Sunday (April 26-28) in Corvallis, Oregon.

Stanford and Oregon State are scheduled to play the first night game in the 96-year history of Goss Stadium at Coleman Field on Friday as the start time has been moved back to 6:00 pm.

The scheduled first pitch on Saturday has also been moved to 4:00 pm to avoid a conflict with the Oregon State Spring Football Game beginning at 1:00 pm.

Sunday's game is slated as originally scheduled at 1:00 pm.

Stanford (27-10, 5-4 Pac-10) dropped two spots in this week's Baseball America poll to No. 4 and is currently in a tie for third place in the Pac-10 standings after dropping two-of-three games at Washington last weekend. Oregon State (24-14, 4-5 Pac-10) sits one game behind the Cardinal in a tie for fifth place in the Pac-10 standings after losing two-of-three games to UCLA over the weekend.

Stanford will host Sacramento State in a rescheduled game this Wednesday, April 24 (6:00 pm). Oregon State will travel to Portland this Tuesday, April 23 (3:00 pm).
