Philadelphia, Pa - The Stanford women's 4 x 1,500 meter relay team finished second to North Carolina, but in the process broke the school record during second day action on Friday at the Penn Relays.
Stanford finished in a time of 17:36.66, while North Carolina ran in 17:33.67. The old school mark was 17:37.27 set last year at the Penn Relays.
The Cardinal team was composed of Ashley Wysong, Malindi Elmore, Lauren Fleshman and Maurica Carlucci.
Meanwhile, Stanford's distance medley relay team of Gabe Jennings, Curtis Goehring, Mark Hassell and Jonathon Riley finished second to Arkansas on Friday. Stanford was timed in 9:33.12 compared to Arkansas at 9:31.21.
