Lillian Bush Sixth, Ahimsa Hodari Eighth After First Day of Pac-10 Heptathlon Championships

Pullman, Wa - Sophomore Lillian Bush is in sixth place, and freshman Ahimsa Hodari resides in eighth place after the first day of competition at the Pacific-10 Heptathlon Championships at Washington State.

Bush chalked up 2,992 points after four events on Saturday, while Hodari tallied 2,688 points. Ten heptathletes are competing.

Bush started her day with 901 points in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.56. Bush then added 724 points in the high jump (5-2 1/4, 1.59m), 550 points in the shot put (33-10 1/4, 10.32m) and 817 points in the 200 meters (25.77).

Hodari started her day with 788 points in the 110 meter hurdles (15.41), 588 points in the high jump (4-9 3/4, 1.47m), 549 points in the shot put (33-9 1/2, 10.30m) and 779 points in the 200 meters (26.21).

Ellannee Richardson of Washington State leads the competition with 3,373 points.

Second day competition in the long jump, javelin and 800 meters will be held on Sunday.
