Paul McAnulty extended his hitting streak to 18 games with his one out double in the third inning.Starting pitcher Daniel Eisentrager is now 5-0 over the last month of the season.With the win today, Long Beach State snapped a 4-game losing streak in NCAA regional play.With the win, Eisentrager increased his win total to 10 on the year, joining Abe Alvarez (12-2) as the only 10 game winners this season. This is the first time since 1994 that Long Beach State has had two, 10-game winners.With the win over San Jose State University, the 49ers extended their winning streak to 8 games, and have won 10 of their past 11.
SAN JOSE STATE
SJSU hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning to break the single season team home run record of 50 set last season. Second baseman Gabe Lopez' home run tied the mark before Hector Zamora's broke it.Starting pitcher Matt Durkin went just 3.0 innings. That marks his shortest outing of the year. Prior to the game, Durkin threw 3.1 innings against Louisiana Tech.
