Franklin, Tenn. - The Stanford women's golf team shot a final round of 312 to finish 13th with a three-round score of 948 at the Mason Rudolph Championships in Franklin, Tenn. Host Vanderbilt won the tournament, shooting a 878 while Arizona placed second with an 887. Rounding out the top five were Tennessee (902), Ohio State (902) and Furman (916).
Stanford junior Kim Kouwabunpat finished 32nd overall, carding a 231 (80-71-80) for the tourney. Senior Kim Rowton tied for 46th after shootin rounds of 80-79-78 (237) while teammate Angela Rho tied for 57th with a 240 (82-81-77). Sophomore Wendra Liang placed 63rd with a 242 (81-83-78) and freshman Kelly Husted tied for 64th (82-82-79). Fellow frosh Stephanie Lue, competing as an individual, tied for 67th with a 244 (78-84-82).
Vanderbilt's Courtney Wood was the individual medalist, carding a two-under par 214. Arizona's Erica Blasberg finished second with an even par 216. Brandi Jackson (Furman) took third (220) while May Wood (Vanderbilt) was fourth. Five athletes tied for fifth with a 222.
The Cardinal are next in action at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, October 7-9 in Tacoma, Washington.
