STANFORD, Calif. (AP) - Khadija Bowens scored 16 points as Temple defeated Princeton 70-40 on Saturday in the consolation game of the Stanford Invitational.

Stacey Smalls and Cynthia Jordan each added 12 points apiece as the Owls (4-1) rebounded from a tough loss to nationally-ranked Kansas State with the lop-sided victory.

Freshman Rebecca Brown recorded her first career double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds for Princeton (2-3).

The game was tied at 10 midway through the first half before Temple went on a 16-2 run to take control.

The Owls led 34-18 at halftime.
