Redwood Shores, Calif. - The first day of racing at the Stanford Invitational got off to a good start for the Cardinal Men. The Varsity, Junior Varsity and Freshmen crews beat the UCLA Bruins in the first day of racing. Redwood Shores continues to serve as the finest and fairest dual racecourse in the country as all crews were able to accurately assess their speed. The Stanford Invitational will conclude on Sunday, April 21st with a full day of some of the finest collegiate racing in America. In the Varsity and Junior Varsity events, the 13th ranked Cardinal will face 8th ranked Oregon State in the morning and the 6th ranked University of Wisconsin at 11:30. In addition, the #1 ranked University of California Varsity and Junior Varsity crews will race the Wisconsin Badgers.
At the conclusion of the races, a full afternoon of BBQ and Alumni races will cap the weekend. The Cardinal eagerly awaits their next challenges.
