Stanford's Women's Varsity Eight Place Second At Opening Day Regatta

Seattle, WA - The Stanford Women's Crew team raced in the renowned Opening Day Regatta this weekend in Seattle, WA. The varsity eight competed in the Windemere Cupfinishing second behind host University of Washington and ahead of the boat from Great Britain.

The second varsity had their best race of the season as they made upground on both the University of Washington and Washington State University and finished third overall in the Cascade Cup.

The varsity four held off a hard chargefrom the WSU Cougars to finish second overall with University of Washington finishing first. The novice eight finished fourth after getting nipped at the line byUniversity of Washington B.
