Stanford Finishes 14th At Rain-Shortened Regional Challenge

Palos Verdes, Calif. - The Stanford women's golf team placed 14th in Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., which was shortened to only two rounds because of inclement weather on Wednesday. The Cardinal posted a two-round score of 637. Pepperdine won the event with a 598. Rounding out the top five were Southern California (603), Arizona (606), Oklahoma State (607) and UCLA (608).

Senior Kim Rowton tied for 17th at 153, 11-over par. Junior Angela Rho tied for 35th at 157 and teammate Marcia Wallis tied for 62nd at 163. Freshman Stephanie Lue and sophomore Wendra Liang tied for 70th and 80th respectively

Pepperdine's Katherine Hull won the event with a 36-hole total of 144, two-over par. Arizona's Erica Blasberg tied with UCLA's Charlotte Mayorkas in second place and the Waves' Lindsey Wright finished fourth at 146.
