Timi Wusu qualifies for Pac-10 Decathlon Championship

Davis, Ca - Timi Wusu, competing in his first collegiate decathlon, finished fourth among nine competitors at the University of California Decathlon/Heptathlon Multi-Events at UC Davis.

Wusu chalked up 6,979 points to qualify for the Pac-10 Championships by 79 points. Andy Geisler of Oakley won the two-day, ten-event competition with 7,601 points.

In women's competition, Ahimsa Hodari jumped from eleventh place to seventh place with a Pac-10 qualifying point total of 4,836 points. Ellannee Richardson of Washington State defeated 12 other heptathletes with 5,701 points.

In women's heptathlon "B" competition, Sally Mills chalked up 4,374 points, just short of the Pac-10 qualifying mark of 4,400 points. Mills finished fourth among eleven competitors.
