Stanford Falls to No. 1 Oklahoma and No. 3 Ohio State

Stanford (4-4) finished behind two of the top teams in the country tonight at the Lloyd Noble Center on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. The hosting Sooners scored an NCAA record 222.500 as they claimed the top spot tonight while third-ranked Ohio State posted a 218.150 for second place. The Cardinal finished third with a 211.025. Oklahoma senior Daniel Furney set two school records with a 9.700 on the high bar en route to a 56.350 in the All-Around.

Stanford junior Dan Gill grabbed third place in the All-Around with a 52.225 after earning a fourth place finish on vault with a 9.300. Senior Marshall Erwin continued to surpass his peers on the still rings, earning a first place finish with a 9.750 on the event. Senior Cade Raggio tagged two top-five finishes by capturing fourth on pommel (9.350) and a tie for third on floor (8.950).

Stanford will compete on Sunday, March 9th at Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colo in the last meet of the regular season. The MPSF Championships are set for March 28th and 29th in Lincoln, Neb.
