Corvallis, Ore. - The Stanford women's golf team shot a 311 in the second round of the 2003 Pac-10 Championships in Corvallis, Oregon, to remain in seventh place overall with a two-day score of 618. California remained in first after carding a 299 today (591). Rounding out the top five schools are Arizona (596), Southern California (596), UCLA (598) and Arizona State (605).
Leading the Cardinal is senior Kim Rowton who carded a 78 today and is tied for 12th overall in the individual standings with a 150. Junior Angela Rho is tied for 24th with a 154 after shooting a 78. Freshman Kelly Husted checks in tied for 30th (78-78--156) heading into the tomorrow's final round while teammate Kim Kouwabunpat is tied for 41st (81-77--158). Sophomore Wendra Liang is tied for 52nd (164) and freshman Stephanie Lue, competing as an individual, is tied for 48th (162).
Arizona State's Blair O'Neal fired a three-under par 69 today to take over the top spot on the individual leaderboard with a one stroke lead (142) over California's Vikki Liang (143) and USC's Mikaela Parmlid (143). Sarah Huarte, from California, is fourth (144) while Arizona's Erica Blasberg and Anne Lee are tied for fifth (146).
Final round action takes place tomorrow at the Trysting Tree Golf Course. Stanford will begin teeing off from the 19th hole at 9:18 a.m. For complete results, go to www.golfstat.com.
