Los Angeles, Calif. - The opener of a key three-game Pac-10 series between No. 9 Stanford (28-14, 10-5 Pac-10) and USC (25-19, 9-6 Pac-10) scheduled for Friday, May 2, has been postponed due to rain. The teams have rescheduled the game as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, May 3 (1:00 pm). The final game of the series is still scheduled for Sunday, May 4 (1:00 pm).
Stanford is currently tied with Arizona State (idle this weekend) for the Pac-10 lead with nine conference games remaining for both teams. Arizona and USC are both one game behind the leaders.
Stanford heads into the series at USC with three losses in its last four games, while the Trojans have won a season-best-tying five in a row.
