Stanford Women's Crew Head Coach Aimee Baker was recognized by theCollegiate Rowing Coaches Association as the West Coast Region Coachof the Year. Coaches from within the west coast region selectedCoach Baker for this award based on her outstanding success duringthe 2003 season, the team's demonstrated improvement from last year,her ability to help her team fulfill their greatest potential, andher exemplary professionalism and integrity as a head coach.
The stern five of Stanford's Varsity Eight were also recognizedtoday by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association for theiroutstanding performances this season. Selected to represent the 1stTeam from the West Region were Sabrina Kolker, Sam Magee, MissyFiesler, and Wendy Hoeveler. Melissa Haury was selected to theregion's 2nd Team. Melissa Haury was also selected as a NationalScholar Athlete.
