- Stanford will next play at the 2003 College World Series on Sunday, June 15 (6 pm, CT/4 pm, PT) versus the winner of Friday night's Cal State Fullerton-Louisiana State game (Game 2). Sunday's game will be broadcast live by ESPN2.
- Stanford was swept in a three-game series at Cal State Fullerton earlier this season from January 31 - February 2 (L, 3-7; L, 2-10; L, 2-8) but beat the Titans the last time they met in postseason action with a 3-2, 13-inning victory in a Regional opener at Stanford on May 31, 2002. - Fuld has an updated career batting average of .356 (282-793) to rank tied for fourth on the all-time list. Fuld also scored a pair of runs and now has 200 career runs (#9 all-time at Stanford). In addition, he ranks among the school's all-time leaders in hits (282, #6), doubles (52, #9) and triples (15, #4T). Fuld's updated 2003 season totals of 77 runs scored (#4T) and nine triples (#2T) rank among the school's single-season records.
