Stanford Tallies 2-0 Record at Harvard Invitational

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Freshman Shari Summers scored her first collegiate goal to lead the Stanford women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Dartmouth in their final game of the Harvard Invitational at Ohiri Field. The win improves the Cardinal's season record to 3-2.

Summers' goal came from an unassisted shot 15 yards out on the right side in the 37th minute of play. Summers also led Stanford in shots with four.

All-American goalkeeper Nicole Barnhart tallied her 24th career shutout with the win over the Big Green. Barnhart recorded seven saves against Dartmouth and won the tournament award for Most Valuable Player for Stanford.

Stanford next travels to the Santa Clara/adidas Classic to face Notre Dame at 5 p.m. on Sept. 19.
