Stanford, Calif. - Junior setter Katie Goldhahn tallies 45 assists and a career high 17 digs as the fourth-ranked Stanford women's volleyball team swept No. 13 Washington, 3-0, tonight in Maples Pavilion. Game scores were 30-23, 33-31, 30-24.

The Cardinal improve to 10-2 on the year, 4-0 in Pac-10 play while the Huskies fall to 11-2, 2-2 in conference action.

Stanford opened game one with a commanding 9-2 lead to force a Washington timeout after Ogonna Nnamani's second service ace on the night. A block assist by Jennifer Harvey and Nnamani gave the Cardinal a 16-8 lead while a Kristin Richard's kill put Stanford up 22-15 and force the final Husky timeout. The Cardinal led 28-19 after a block solo by Harvey and a UW service error put Stanford at game point at 29-22. A kill by Harvey gave the Cardinal the 30-23 win.

Game two remained close until Stanford opened up a three point led at 12-9 on a kill by Sara McGee. A Kristin Richards block solo gave the Cardinal the 16-12 advantage while an Ogonna Nnamani kill put Stanford up 22-19 and forced a Washington timeout. Stanford reached game point on a Jennifer Harvey service ace, leading 29-23 but the Huskies rallied off seven consecutive points to tied up the game and take the 30-29 lead. A kill by Sara McGee put the Cardinal up 32-31 and a Nnamani kill gave Stanford the 33-31 victory and two game lead in the match.

The Cardinal and Huskies remained close in game three as Stanford held just a three point edge, leading 9-6 as Washington took their first timeout. Washington took their second timeout trailing 8-13 after a Husky setting error. With the Cardinal leading 25-14, UW strung together four points to close the gap to 18-26 and pulled to within four points at 22-26. Two quick Stanford kills by Jennifer Harvey and Kristin Richards put the Cardinal up 28-22. SU reached game point at 29-24 after a Washington service error and closed the door on a block by Sara McGee and Kristin Richards at 30-24.

Ogonna Nnamani led the match with 19 kills, followed by Kristin Richards' 14 kills and 11 digs. Middle blocker Sara McGee added 13 kills and five blocks while Jennifer Harvey tallied 10 kills and three blocks on the night. Rightside hitter Jennifer Hucke tallied 11 digs as well.

Washington was led by Sanja Tomasevic's 11 kills and Libba Lawrence's 13 digs.
