STANFORD

HEAD COACH BUDDYTEEVENS
On The Team's Performance
"Our throwing game was more productive. The team keeps moving forward, and I give credit to the players and the coaches. It was good to have a win last week and the players went right back to work to prepare for today's game."

On The Team's Growth
"The team continues to grow. It's been a progression and quite a long process with the young guys. They keep maturing. The guys are committed and work hard. We can continue to improve. They are tough guys and will keep moving forward."

On Injuries
"We had a number of injuries out there. Hopefully everyone heals well overnight. It won't hurt as much with the win."

QUARTERBACK CHRISLEWIS
On Today's Offense
"I thought we did well. We had a great game plan this week, which we went out and executed well. We stepped up our offense and made some big plays. Our offensive line is playing its best of the year thus far."

On The Team As A Whole
"We were a young team and had to develop. We're starting to shine and come through. Our team confidence is the biggest difference over the past two weeks. We went into the UCLA game as confident as I've seen. It spilled over to this week, and hopefully to next week as well."

RUNNING BACK J.R.LEMON
On Replacing Kenneth Tolon
"I was caught off guard, but the key to our season has been our ability to switch and substitute when necessary."

On His Strategy During The Game
"I was experiencing a bit of shoulder pain, so I was trying to get low and drive through."

ARIZONA STATE

HEAD COACH DIRK KOETTER
Opening Statement
"Turnovers on offense and the inability to convert on third downs were the story of the first half. There's nothing good about losing. I've been coaching for 17 years and the losses are harder than anybody knows. Our players played until the very last second. Losing is still hard but at least we can all look at ourselves in the mirror and know that we played hard for 60 minutes."

On Getting Down Early Versus Stanford
"Well, getting down and then Loren Wade getting knocked out with a concussion, those two things really affected us. We knew the rain was coming. Obviously, it was going to be tough for us. We didn't want to get into a situation where we had to play from behind. We wouldn't have thrown the ball that many times if we hadn't gotten behind."

On ASU Quarterback Andrew Walter Playing On A Sprained Ankle
"He is just very limited mobility-wise when he has to reset. He's had to totally change his footwork just to be able to play. It's a credit to Andrew that he's able to play. He really made some great throws today."

ARIZONA STATE WIDE RECEIVER DEREK HAGAN
On ASU's Effort Versus Stanford
"Stanford played a good game. They came out playing hard, but we didn't come out playing as hard as we needed too. In the first half they played harder than us and in the second half we played harder than them. In football you need to play hard all four quarters, and we just didn't do that today.

On The Weather Conditions Of The Game
"The water is always going to effect people, but I don't think it affected us too much. We did have a few passes that were on point, but since the ball was wet it slipped right through our hands. The rain is always going to play a factor but you have to just fight through it."

ARIZONA STATE QUARTERBACK ANDREW WALTER
On His Sprained Ankle
"It's been hurting for a while, and it was hurting again tonight. It felt better than last week, but I wouldn't say that it was a high percentage better. It was hard to move, and it was affecting me pain-wise. On some of those throws, I'd normally get outside the pocket. I'm not going to scramble for 100 yards, but I can move around a little better than people think. So with a healthy ankle I can do some of those things."

On Turnovers In The Red Zone
"We turned the ball over twice down there (the red zone) and that hurt. When we don't make plays offensively when there's a chance for plays to be made, those were our problems."
