OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Richie Burgos hit a tiebreaking triple in the seventhinning, and relievers Wes Littleton and Chad Cordero held Stanford hitless overthe last four innings in Cal State Fullerton's 6-5 victory in the College WorldSeries on Sunday night.

Burgos' triple into the right-field corner in the seventh scored P.J.Pilittere and knocked Stanford starter Mark Romanczuk (12-1) out of the game.

The Titans (50-14) play again Wednesday, when they take on the winner ofTuesday's Stanford-South Carolina elimination game.

Littleton (7-3) took over for starter Dustin Miller in the sixth and retiredall six batters he faced. Cordero, the 20th overall draft pick by Montreal,came on in the eighth and struck out three for his eighth save.

Pilittere's RBI double in the first and Justin Turner's two-run homer in thesecond gave the Titans a 3-0 lead.

Stanford (47-16) tied it in the third on Brian Hall's two-run homer and SamFuld's solo shot, but Jason Corapci's RBI double put the Titans back in frontin the bottom of the inning.

Stanford tied it again in the top of the fourth when Chris Carter homered,and took a 5-4 lead in the fifth on Carlos Quentin's RBI double.

Turner's two-out RBI single tied it again in the sixth, and the Titans wentahead for good on Burgos' triple into the right-field corner the next inning.

Turner was 3-for-3 with three RBIs, and Pilittere and Corapci were both2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Miller allowed five runs and seven hits in five innings for the Titans.

Romanczuk, the first Stanford pitcher to win his first 12 decisions, allowedsix runs, 10 hits and walked four in 6 1-3 innings.
