Berkeley, Ca - Jason Goff qualified for the NCAA Regional Championships with a career-best throw of 209-10 (63.96m) in the javelin to highlight Stanford's participation on Saturday at the California Bay Area Blast Off at Edwards Stadium.
Goff's throw was also third-best in school history. His previous best was 205-9 (62.71m).
Several Cardinal athletes qualified for the Pac-10 Championships later this year. The list includes Feranmi Okanlami in the triple jump (47-11 1/4, 14.61m), Lindsey Johnson in the 100 meter hurdles (14.06), Erin Merriman in the javelin (143-6, 43.74m), Lindsey Gannaway in the high jump (5-8, 1.73m), and Samantha Shepard in the pole vault (12-7 1/4, 3.84m).
