Indianapolis, Ind. - Several current and former Stanford swimmers competed on the second day of the long-course meters 2004 Counsilman Classic on Saturday. Tara Kirk (200 breast, 2:27.87) and Jenny Thompson (100 free, 25.32) won individual events to highlight the performances. Dana Kirk (2nd, 2:12.12), Shelly Ripple-Johnson (3rd, 2:13.27) and Misty Hyman (4th, 2:13.69) finished 2-3-4 in the 200 fly.

Others competing were Lacey Boutwell (100 free, 7th, 26.29; 100 back, 15th, 1:07.23, 1:06.69 prelims), Morgan Hentzen (400 free, 7th, 4:20.99, 4:20.03 prelims), Lauren Costella (200 fly, 32nd, 2:26.48 prelims; 400 free, 49th, 4:33.03 prelims) and Desiree Stahley (400 free, 31st-T, 4:28.85 prelims; 100 free, 59th, 27.89).

Ripple-Johnson was also eighth in the 100 free (26.34), while Dana Kirk (400 free, 34th, 4:29.53) and Tara Kirk (100 free, 105th, 32.59) also competed in a second individual event.Jenny Thompson swam the butterfly leg on the second-place BAD 400 medley relay squad (4:27.43).
