Meridith McColl Earns MPSF Player of the Week Honors

STANFORD, Calif. - Freshman goalkeeper Meridith McColl was named the MPSF Mikasa Player of the Week for her performance against No. 3 UCLA last weekend. McColl's defense led the No. 2 Cardinal to a 5-3 win over the Bruins at Los Angeles.

McColl tallied five saves and held UCLA to three goals, including no goals scored during the second and third periods. She has competed at goal for the Cardinal in 16-of-20 matches this season, and has averaged 4.31 goals against/game.

McColl is a native of Mission Viejo, Calif., where she attended Capistrano Valley High School, and is the daughter of Duncan and Emily McColl.
