Stanford, Calif. - The Stanford softball team had five players named to the 2004 Pacific All-Region teams, including Dana Sorensen, Lauren Lappin, Jessica Allister, Jackie Rinehart and Catalina Morris. Sorensen and Lappin were first-team selections while Allister, Rinehart and Morris were second-team picks.
All 12 member of the first team were players in the Pacific-10 Conference.
All five Stanford athletes were recently named to the 2004 Pac-10 All-Conference teams earlier this week.
The Cardinal are currently competing in the NCAA Softball Regional being held on the campus of Stanford University and won their opening game, 1-0 over Utah. They will take on Pacific tomorrow at 3 p.m.
