May 28, 2004

Stanford, CA - Stanford Crew has announced dates for Summer Rowing Daycamps at the Stanford Rowing Center. Camps are five days long and run from 9 AM to 4 PM. The camps are for kids ages 8-18. The camp will accommodate first time rowers (novices) and experienced athletes. Camps start on June 21st and run each week; the last week of camp will begin on August 1st.

Director of Rowing Craig Amerkhanian noted: "The Stanford Summer Rowing Daycamp will offer our surrounding community members a tremendous opportunity to learn more about the sport of rowing. With some of the finest coaches in America, we will teach and inspire a deeper love for the greatest of on the water team sports."

Located in the only permanent rowing facility in Redwood City and full of the finest rowing shells, this is the latest addition to a growing list of activities found at the Stanford Rowing Center. Mid-day fitness classes, a youth rowing team and community involvement are all vital improvements that Stanford Crew has committed as resources.
