Nicholas Taylor Finishes Ninth at Pac-10 Decathlon Championships

Tucson, Az - Nicholas Taylor chalked up a career-best 6,501 points to finish in ninth place on Saturday at the 2004 Pacific-10 Decathlon Championships at the University of Arizona.

Taylor compiled 3,420 points after five events on Friday, and added another 3,081 during second day competition on Saturday. Taylor's point total is also ninth-best in school history.

Taylor's best event during the two-day competition was the 110 meter hurdles where he finished with 812 points (15.51).

Tommy Skipper of Oregon won the competition with 7,589 points.
