Notre Dame, Ind. - A quick two goals in the opening half of the Notre Dame adidas Classic gave the Southern Methodist Mustangs a 2-1 victory over the Cardinal this morning at Alumni Field on the campus of the Fighting Irish. Stanford falls to 1-2 on the season, while the Mustangs improve to 2-1-1.
SMU netted two goals early in the game as Jill Heinemann scored in the 16th minute and Krystal Bailey adding a score in the 24th minute.
