Santa Clara, Calif. - In the Cardinal's first overtime game of the season, Stanford and Santa Clara finished in a 0-0 tie, tonight at Buck Shaw Stadium. Stanford is now 7-2-1 on the season, while Santa Clara is now 6-2-2.

Stanford fired off six shots on the night, pacing Santa Clara's eight shots, as Cardinal freshman Lizzy George (Alamo, Calif./Carondelet) tallied Stanford's only shot on goal in the 61st minute, which Bronco keeper Julie Ryder stopped for her only save of the match. Stanford keeper Nicole Barnhart (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown) picked up her first save of the game when Jordan Angeli fired off Santa Clara's only shot on goal in the 109th minute. With the 0-0 finish, Barnhart posted her fifth shutout of the season, the 34th of her career.

Stanford will face off against Saint Mary's at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Maloney Field, as the Cardinal wraps up its non-conference schedule against the Gaels.
