Berkeley, Calif. - Stanford tallied a pair of second half goals, but a score in the second overtime period lifted Cal to a 3-2 win at Edwards Stadium in Berkeley on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Cardinal finish the regular season with a 7-6-5 record and a 2-4-2 mark in conference play, while the Bears conclude the regular season at 12-3-3 and 4-3-1 in Pac-10 action.

After being out-shot in the first half by a 13-2 margin, the Cardinal stormed back in the second period and evened the score just six minutes into the frame. Senior Darren Fernandez added to his team-leading goal total, heading in a score following a Matt Janusz corner kick to pull Stanford even in the 51st minute. Fernandez has tallied a team-high eight goals this season, and Janusz moved into a tie for the team lead with his second assist of the campaign.

The Bears equalized less than five minutes later following a Calen Carr shot that deflected off of the Cardinal post. After a pair of clearance attempts from the Stanford defense failed, Yohei Fukuda knocked the ball into the Cardinal net to knot the game at two.
The two squads played a scoreless overtime period, before Cal broke through with the game-winner. In the 103rd minute, Carr broke through the Stanford defense and passed to Eric Ebert, who slotted home the game-winner.
Fulton collected four saves on the afternoon, while Kronberg made a single save. The Bears out-shot the Cardinal by a 23-6 margin, with Carr attempting a game-high seven shots.
