Cardinal Women Finish 12th At Regional Challenge

The Stanford women's golf team shot a final round of 307 at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif., to finish 12th overall with a three-day score of 929. Pepperdine won the tournament with a 896. UCLA finished two strokes back (898), followed by Duke (900), Florida (904) and Washington (906).

Oklahoma State took sixth (909) while USC was seventh (912). Rounding out the top 10 were Ohio State (918), Arizona (923) and New Mexico (924).

Duke's Brittany Lang garnered top individual honors, firing an even par 213 for the tournament. Charlotte Mayorkas, from UCLA, was second (217) while Ohio State's Kristen White was third (220). USC's Irene Cho and Oklahoma State's Annie Thurman-Young tied for fourth (221).

Junior Kelly Husted moved into a tie for 25th after shooting a 74 today, to bring her three-round total to 229 (77-78-74). Teammate Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana tied for 36th individually with a 231 (76-77-78). Sophomore Lauren Todd shot a 234 (83-75-76) to place 47th while senior Wendra Liang shot a 235 (79-77-79), tying for 48th. Cardinal Jenna Seki finished 80th (84-83-89--256).
