Stanford Quotes
Head Coach Trent Johnson
On Game Winning Shot: "We called a five up post to post, which is an on ball set with Rob (Little) as our five man. After Rob (Little) sets a screen he is supposed to go down to the block and our options are either Chris (Hernandez), Matt (Haryasz), or Rob (Little). So Rob (Little) was definitely an option."
On Fouling on the Last Play: "We are always going to defend because we do not practice fouling. I am not a firm believer in if you have fouls to give, give them. We are limited in terms of bodies so we try to play the game the way it is supposed to be played."
On Tonight's Game: "It feels good. They played good defense, and they got shots to go down. It started to feel like it was a regular game. It's a good feeling on our part."
On Scoring: "I felt like I did good job in the first half limiting my shots. My mentality was to take it to the hoop and maybe get fouled. I wanted to take it to the free throw line and try to do something there. "
On Keys to Offense: "We wanted to take it to the basket because we were in the bonus. I missed a lay-up. I could have backed it up and shot a ten footer, but when you are in the bonus, you want to drive it to the hole."
On Fatigue: "My legs felt pretty good. It wasn't as taxing on my legs as running around screens and back cuts, which are hard to guard. Then Kelatti hit three threes in a row, and they went up by ten. They were hitting deep threes and we weren't getting to them so we went man to man."
