New Start Time For Saturday's Stanford-Washington Game

April 23, 2005

Stanford, Calif. - The start time for Saturday's scheduled baseball game at Sunken Diamond between No. 24 Stanford (22-14, 5-5 Pac-10) and Washington (24-15, 4-6 Pac-10) has been moved back to 6 pm, PT, due to wet weather conditions.

Holders of single-game tickets for Saturday's contest can exchange their tickets for another for another 2005 Stanford Baseball game if they do not use their tickets on Saturday evening. Call the Stanford Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-STANFORD during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 9 am - 4 pm, PT) for details.

Stanford came up with a 2-1 victory over the Huskies on Friday evening in the first game of the series, which is scheduled to conclude Sunday (1 pm, PT).

Saturday's five-hour postponement marks the seventh time a contest has been moved back due to weather conditions in a soggy 2005 campaign for the Cardinal. Stanford's 2005 scheduled season-opener versus Fresno State on January 28, as well as games against Kansas (February 11), California (February 25), Pacific (March 19), San Jose State (March 22) and Oregon State (April 8) were also postponed due to rain or wet weather conditions. All of the contests other than the San Jose State game have been made up. A new date for the San Jose State game has not been announced.
