Redwood Shores, Ca - The Stanford Men's Varsity and Second Varsity Eights posted impressive victories over 9th ranked Oregon St. at Redwood Shores on Saturday. The #5 Cardinal pushed out and lengthend to a 7 second margin of victory, while the 2V fought hard for a four second win. These results marked the first Varsity sweep over OSU in eleven years. Led by Seniors David Banks, Jamie Schroeder, Zack Cooper, Eric Feeny, Austin Shoemaker, and Peter Frykman, the Men's program has become a national contender. The frosh eight raced hard, losing to OSU by 5 seconds. Next week the Cardinal race Cal in the 'Big Row', Saturday night(6pm) at Redwood Shores.
