Stanford, Calif. - The Stanford field hockey program has announced the signing of Chloe Bade (Fort Worth, TX/Fort Worth County Day HS) to a national letter-of-intent to attend Stanford in 2005-06. Bade is the sixth student-athlete to sign a national letter-of-intent with the Stanford field hockey program for the 2005 season.
"Chloe Bade is an great addition to the team and a fine recruit to finish our incoming class of 2005," said Stanford head coach Lesley Irvine. "She has a tremendous passion for field hockey and comes in with a solid skill base and understanding of the game. She is also a tremendous fit for the program and an extremely determined individual. We are thrilled to have her join us."
Bade was named to the All-Area team by the Dallas Morning News as a senior in 2004, in addition to garnering All-Southwest Preparatory Conference and All-Zone honors in her final prep season. Bade also led her high school squad to the SPC Division II title in both her junior and senior campaigns.
In addition, she has club field hockey experience at the National Hockey Festival with Team Gateway Southwest.
She tried an amazing six sports at one point or another during her high school career, also participating in golf, soccer, softball, tennis, and track and field.
