Nicholas Taylor Finishes Fifth At Pac-10 Decathlon Championship

Los Angeles, Ca - Nicholas Taylor produced a career-best 6,832 points to finish fifth at the 2005 Pacific-10 Decathlon Championship at UCLA's Drake Stadium.

Taylor's previous best was 6,501 set last year at the conference meet. Taylor enjoyed his best event of the day in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.36, good for 807 points. In four of the five events during Sunday's competition, Taylor finished no lower than fourth.

Darion Powell of Washington State won the Pac-10 title with 7,531 points.

The regular portion of the Pac-10 Championships will be next weekend at UCLA.
