Regatta Highlights

Saturday:
Better weather could not have graced this year's Harry Anderson
Regatta. A full fleet of 24 teams competed. Conditions were quite tricky - a NW wind
from the land, varying from 5 to 13 knots in the puffs. Five and four-leg Windward-
leeward courses were sailed with a gate and an offset mark. The races averaged twenty
five minutes, allowing a totally of six races in each division.
Sunday:
Sunday was another beautiful day. Winds started out 4-10 knots from the north but
shifted sometimes 45 degrees either way, often making the sailing very difficult. The
wind died around 2 pm and then a nice, 10-12 knot sea breaze built for the last full
set. Four and five-leg windward leewards were sailed again. A total of 10 races were
sailed in each division.
There were no protests or breakdowns reported.

Killion. Also thank you to the Yale sailing team for helping run the regatta.
