Stanford, Calif. - Junior Theresa Logar won another two matches today in singles to advance to the Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northwest Women's Regional Championship match at the Taube Tennis Center. She will face Cal's Suzi Fodor in Monday's title match. Monday will start with the doubles semifinals at 9 a.m., followed by the double and singles championships.
Logar defeated Cal's Stephanie Kusano in the quarterfinals, 6-2, 6-1, and then posted a 7-6(3), 6-0 victory over teammate Celia Durkin in the semifinals.
In doubles, Alice Barnes and Anne Yelsey advanced to the semifinal round with an 8-2 win over Washington's . Dinka Hadzic and Tara Simpson. The duo will take on Cal's Bojana Bobusic and Maria Ravelojaona on Monday. Durkin and senior Amber Liu also posted a victory in the quarters with an 8-2 victory against Cal's Claire Ilcinkas and Stephanie Kusano. The tandem will face Lucia Sainz and Katharina Winterhalter tomorrow morning.
