Seattle, Wash. - The Stanford men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Washington this afternoon in Seattle, Wash. at the Husky Soccer Field in a Pac-10 conference match-up. The Cardinal fall to 4-9-2, 1-5-1) while the Huskies improve to 9-4-1, 3-3-1).
Washington's Evan Cummings, Ely Allen and Spencer Schmidt accounted for the Huskies trio of goals. Cummings put UW on the board early in the ninth minute and after senior Jeff Hoover was ejected in the 13th minute. Allen and Schmidt added two more goals despite the fact Washington was down a player for the remainder of the match.
Allen's second goal of the season came in the 30th minute, while Schmidt's third score of the year sealed UW's win in the 80th minute.
Stanford was denied a second-straight conference victory after picking up its first at Oregon State, Friday.
Stanford's Cooper McKee and Scott Bolkan accounted for four of seven Cardinal shots.
Stanford is back in action, November 4 at 7 p.m. when they host UCLA at Maloney Field.
