Sunday's Stanford-California Series Finale Postponed

Berkeley, Calif. - Sunday's scheduled finale of a three-game non-conference series between No. 19 Stanford (10-5) and California (7-6) at Evans Diamond has been postponed due to weather conditions. There is expected to be announcement of the date the contest will be rescheduled at a later date.

The teams split a pair of dramatic games on Friday and Saturday to open the series with the Golden Bears victorious 7-6 on Friday before the Cardinal won 6-5 in 11 innings Saturday.

Sunday's postponement is the second of the season for Stanford, while California has now had three games cancelled and two postponed in 2006 due to weather.

Stanford is scheduled to return to action at San Jose State this Tuesday, March 7 (6 pm, PT).
