Walnut, Ca - Arianna Lambie opened her 2006 outdoor season with an impressive effort in the 1500 meters on Friday at the Mt. SAC Relays.
Lambie ran to victory over 23 other opponents in an NCAA West Regional qualifying time of 4:19.88. Stanford teammate Lauren Centrowitz finished second in a Regional qualifying time of 4:22.89 while Katy Trotter (4:24.62), Alicia Follmar (4:24.77) and Amanda Trotter (4:25.62) finished fifth, eighth and tenth, respectively.
Russell Brown began his 1500 meter outdoor season with a Regional qualifying time of 3:44.00.
